These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HairGrid LLC ("HairGrid," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the HairGrid iPhone app, the HairGrid desktop viewing app, and our website at hairgrid.app (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
HairGrid helps you see and section the back of your own head while styling your hair at home. It is a two-device tool: your iPhone acts as the camera and a computer (Mac or Windows) acts as the viewing screen. Your iPhone streams its live rear-camera view to your paired computer over your local Wi-Fi network, and an adjustable grid is overlaid to guide even, clean parts. Using the core feature therefore requires both an iPhone and a computer on the same Wi-Fi network.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms.
To use certain features you create an account. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and the HairGrid name, is owned by HairGrid LLC or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You keep ownership of the settings, saved sessions, favorites, and other content you create in the Service. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service and to provide it back to you across your devices, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your live camera video is peer-to-peer between your own devices and is not stored by us.
You are in control of your device's camera and what it captures. You are responsible for your surroundings and for the privacy of anyone who may be in view while you use the Service. HairGrid does not record or store your camera footage, but you should use the Service in a private, appropriate setting.
HairGrid is a cosmetic styling aid intended to help you see and section your hair. It is not a medical, dermatological, or professional cosmetology service, and it does not provide professional advice. Results depend on your own technique and circumstances, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome.
The Service relies on third parties, including Apple, Google Firebase, and (for any website payments) Stripe. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of third parties.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will work with every device, computer, or network configuration.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HairGrid LLC and its owners and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HairGrid LLC and its owners and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or to others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or on our website. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to these Terms or the Service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Idaho, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
